Seminar themes:
 
Concerned with review of case law regarding novelty followed by step-by-step review of problem solution approach to determine inventive step.
 
Focused on patent drafting and the legal issues concerning the science of presenting knowledge, followed by patent drafting workshop. Examples of drafting different kinds of drug patents will be presented. This will be followed by workshop on the valuation of IPR.
 
 Related to strategic positioning of the pharmaceutical industry for success in increasingly competitive markets and regulated industry in both marketing approvals and IP.

Summary 
 
Our aims to raise participant’s knowledge in international standards of patents, giving them global trends of Novelty and Inventive step. In addition, it enables participants in the art of patent drafting for cost savings in patent submissions and better reading skills of patents. As well, the seminar includes practical strategy planning of generic growth based on innovation. This will be followed by a review of possible collaboration with new markets such as Japan. Therefore, this seminar workshop is organized around three themes.
 
First theme:
 
Is concerned with review of case law regarding novelty followed by step-by-step review of problem solution approach to determine inventive step. Dr. J. Riolo of the board of appeal in chemistry in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food at the EPO will be presenting this theme;
 
Second theme:
 
Is focused on patent drafting and the legal issues concerning the science of presenting knowledge, followed by patent drafting workshop. Examples of drafting different kinds of drug patents will be presented. This will be followed by workshop on valuation of IPR. Both IP personnel as well as finance managers will find this workshop fulfilling to the growing needs of companies to evaluate their IPR as intangible assets. Well known experts will deliver this theme namely Dr. Winkler and Dr. Goddar both being well known European Patent Attorneys and experienced in local industry needs;
 
Third theme:
 
Is related to strategic positioning of the pharmaceutical industry for success in an increasingly competitive market's and regulated industry in both marketing approvals and IP. Evelyn Moeck will present such strategy based on modularization and innovation.
